I think these would be fun to make just for the novelty of it and especially with kids. You could even pour out the mixture into a shallow pan & use cookie cutters to make different shapes! Try making your own Peeps for Easter, I could really get creative with this one. Haven't tried this one yet, but it is definitely on my "to do" list.

Ingredients

1/4 c
cornstarch
1/3 c
confectioners' sugar
1 pkg
gelatin, unflavored
1/3 c
water
2/3 c
granulated sugar
1/2 c
light corn syrup
1 pinch
salt
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Directions Step-By-Step

Sift together cornstarch and confectioners sugar. Grease a baking pan well.
Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of the sugar mixture into the pan and tilt to evenly coat the bottom and sides. Do not shake out the excess.

3
Spread the mixture into the baking pan. Let sit until set, about 2-3 hours. Slice the mixture into desired sizes.
Roll each piece in the cornstarch mixture. Place on paper towells and let stand until dry. Store in airtight container.
