Ingredients For eating well granola

1/3 cboiling water

1/2 cprunes, pitted, chopped

1 craisins

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 tspsalt

1/4 cunsweetened coconut, shredded

1/4 calmonds, chopped

1/2 cwheat germ, toasted
-
1 cwheat flakes
-
2 1/2 crolled oats
-
2 Tbspcorn syrup
-
1 cmilk, nonfat, dry
-
2/3 csugar
-
1/2 capricots, dried and chopped
How To Make eating well granola

1In a medium-sized bowl, dissolve sugar in water.

2Stir in dry milk and corn syrup and beat with electric mixer for about 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.

3Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.

4Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

5In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat flakes, wheat germ, almonds, coconut and salt.

6Add the milk mixture and oil and mix thoroughly.

7Spread on a baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, for 40 to 50 minutes, or until golden brown.

8Stir in raisins, prunes and apricots.

9Bake for 5 minutes longer.

10Let cool and store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
