Jeanne, a fellow English teacher, gave me this recipe. It's always on my table at our Christmas Open House!

pinch tips: How to Fold Ingredients


1 1/2 stick
butter or margarine
1 c
granulated sugar
8-oz. package chopped dates
2 c
rice krispies
1 c
chopped pecans
confectioners' sugar to roll candy in

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter.
Add sugar and dates. Cook gently for 10 minutes. Start timing when you add the dates. Remove from heat.
Add Rice Krispies and chopped pecans. Stir well.
Let cool; then shape into small balls and roll in confectioners' sugar.

SANDY'S NOTE: Be sure to let the candy cool because you surely will burn your hands if you don't!
