Cream Cheese Bars

I make these bars whenever I go to any "doings" and I never have any left. They may look really complicated but are very easy to make.

2 pkg
(8 ozs each)cream cheese,softened
1 c
2 pkg
(tubes) crescent rolls
1 tsp
egg, separated

Directions Step-By-Step

Lightly butter bottom of 9x13 pan(I use glass). Spread 1 pkg Crescent rolls on bottom of pan. In bowl mix cream cheese,sugar,egg yolk and vanilla til smooth. Spread Cream cheese mixture on crescent roll in your pan. Lightly flour your cutting board or counter - open second pkg of crescent rolls and keeping perferations together roll out to fit your pan. Fold dough in half and carefully pick it up and lay it on top of the cream cheese mixture - unfold the dough to cover the whole pan. Spread remaining egg white over the top of the crescent dough. I use my fingers to spread it around.
Bake at 350* for35 minutes or til light brown.
After baking when bars have cooled store in frig.
