ono butter mochi is what it is really called. I just love the coconut. I worked for a wonderful woman native to Hawaii and she taught me how to make it. many many years ago. simply takes me back to Hawaii every time and all the great people .

1 lbmochiko (glutinous rice flour)

21/2 csugar

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 cbutter, melted

3 cwhole milk

5eggs

1 tspvanilla extract

1 csweet flaked coconut
How To Make coconut ono mochi

1Preheat uven to 350, Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish

2In medium bowl, whisk together the eggs,vanilla, and milk.In a large bowl , stir the rice flour,sugar, and baking powder.Pour wet into dry.stir to blend.

3Mix in melted butter and coconut, Pour in pan.

4bake 1 hour in preheated oven. cool completely . then cut into squares to serve.
