Ingredients For skinnier un-fried ice cream balls

  • 2 c
    vanilla frozen yogurt, fat free
  • 2 c
    kelloggs crunchy nut flakes or o's cereal, crushed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • TOPPINGS:
  • chocolate syrup
  • caramel ice cream topping
  • hot fudge sauce
  • butterscotch syrup
  • honey
  • whipped cream, sweetened
  • maraschino cherries

How To Make skinnier un-fried ice cream balls

    Line a baking sheet with silpat liner. With an ice cream scooper, scoop out 4 balls of ice cream 1/2 C in size & place on the silpat-lined baking sheet. Freeze for overnight or until the ice cream is very hard.

    Meanwhile, in a shallow bowl, combine the crushed cereal & cinnamon. Using rubber gloves, roll the balls of ice cream in the cereal coating, packing them together into a smooth ball. NOTE: To crush cereal; add to food processor along with cinnamon & pulse until crushed & combined.

    Return the coated ice cream to the baking sheet & freeze until ready to serve.

    To serve, drizzle with desired sauce on top & a squirt of whipped cream & cherry, if desired.
