Lightly Decadent Homemade Ice Cream



I wanted to make a rich tasting homemade ice cream...but without all of the calories and fat. Tried changing a few things, and IT WORKED! Creamy rich ice cream, with very little fat, and less sugar.

1/2 c
splenda blend
1 qt
fat free half & half
8 oz
whipping cream (do not whip)
1 can(s)
evaporated milk (small can)
1 can(s)
fat free sweetened condensed milk
0% skim milk (to fill gallon ice cream tube)

Directions Step-By-Step

Stir splenda blend, ff half & half, whipping cream, evaporated milk, and ff sweetened condensed milk, blending well. (splenda blend disolves MUCH quicker than pure sugar)
Pour into 4 quart size ice cream tube. Fill to "fill line" with 0% Skim milk. Stir to mix. Cover tube

Place covered tube into ice cream churn; connect to turn dasher/churn (either hand or electric). Place ice and rock salt, layered, and allow to freeze. Allow to sit covered, at least 30 minutes, for ice cream to "ripen"
