Ingredients

chocolate frosted donut or powdered sugar donut
1 stick raspberry or strawberry preserves, seedless
1/2 cup cherry chocolate chip or strawberry ice cream

How To Make jelly donut ice cream sandwiches

Step 1

Take either donut & slice in 1/2 horizontally.

Step 2

Spread preserves over cut side of bottom 1/2 of donut.
Step 3

Top with either ice cream & cover with top of donut.
Step 4

Freeze until firm, about 3 hours.
Step 5

NOTES: Chocolate Frosted Donut goes great with cherry chocolate chip ice cream (Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia) & the Powdered Sugar Donut goes great with the strawberry ice cream! But don't stop here....the possiblities are endless!
