I make this Jello for every gathering we have, whether it be a birthday, graduation or anniversary! It is a big hit with kids as well as adults. The ice cream gives it a very creamy taste to it. I've substituted the orange jello with raspberry, lemon and lime before, and they all were wonderful! Try it!

Ingredients

2 c
water, boiling
1 pkg
orange flavored jello gelatin (8 oz.) or 2 (4 oz.) packages
1 c
cold orange juice
1 pt
vanilla ice cream, softened (2 cups)

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes, until completely dissolved.
2
Stir in cold orange juice.
3
Stir in ice cream until melted and smooth.
4
Pour into 5 cup mold.
5
Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold onto a plate. Enjoy!
6
You can also substitute the orange jello with raspberry, lemon or lime. They are all very good! Enjoy!

Hi...it does hold together very well. It will not melt because of the Jello! Enjoy!!

question: does this melt if it gets warm? Or does the jello hold it together..not too warm but room temp?
