Ingredients
| 1 stick | butter |
| 1 c | chopped pecans |
| 1 tsp | kosher salt |
| 1 c | milk(whole or 2%) i use 2% |
| 3/4 c | sugar |
| 2 c | heavy cream |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract |

Directions
Melt butter in a small frying pan, add salt and pecans and sautee over medium high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Drain off most of the butter, leaving a little in the pan with pecans. Let cool for about 15-20 minutesIn a large mixing bowl whisk together milk and sugar, whisk in cream and vanilla, stir in pecansTurn on your icecream freezer(I use a Cuisinart), pour icecream mixture in and let it churn for 25 minutes. It will be soft serve at this point. You can serve it immediately or put it in a freezer safe container and freeze.
