Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c chopped pecans
1 tsp kosher salt
1 c milk(whole or 2%) i use 2%
3/4 c sugar
2 c heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

This is really awesome icecream, it is really easy to make if you have an eleactric icecream maker

 

Directions

Melt butter in a small frying pan, add salt and pecans and sautee over medium high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Drain off most of the butter, leaving a little in the pan with pecans. Let cool for about 15-20 minutes

In a large mixing bowl whisk together milk and sugar, whisk in cream and vanilla, stir in pecans

Turn on your icecream freezer(I use a Cuisinart), pour icecream mixture in and let it churn for 25 minutes. It will be soft serve at this point. You can serve it immediately or put it in a freezer safe container and freeze.

Thanks cutie pie! I have a Cuisinart too and will be making this as soon as I pull it out of the back of the cupboard!! LOL

That's where mine has been for probably a year, and today I got this wild hair and happened to have all the ingredients, so out it came and now I have yummy icecream
