~ Strawberry Cobbler ~

- fresh or frozen strawberries, thawed - if using fresh, cut into fourths
- 2 c
- sugar, divided - original recipe called for 1 cup sugar for fresh strawberries and 1/2 cup for frozen. i used 3/4 cup and was just right
- 1 stick
- 2 tsp
- baking powder
- 1/2 tsp
- 3/4 c
- 3/4 c
- 2 Tbsp
- sugar - i didn't use for the top
Combine strawberries and 3/4 c. sugar. *Original recipe called for 1/2 cup for frozen - 1 cup for fresh.
Place butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish and melt in oven.
In a bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk until smooth.
Pour strawberry mixture evenly over batter and do not stir.
Bake for 45 minutes and let cool 5 minutes then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar. * I did not use this sugar.
