Ingredients

2 lb
cooking apples, peeled and sliced (51/2)
1/4 c
water
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp
each of ground nutmeg and cinnamon
3/4 c
of all-purpose flour
1/2 c
butter or margarine

Step-By-Step

1put apples in shallow greased 2 quart casseroles dish.
2add water, combine sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, and flour.
3cut margarine with pastry blender.
4spoon evenly over apples. cover and bake in preheated moderate oven (350) for 30 minutes.
5uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
