Raspberry Salad with Marshmallow Topping

This is given to me by a friend. It is very refreshing.

Ingredients

1
large box of raspberry jello
2 1/2 c
boiling water
1-10 oz
package of frozen red raspberries slightly thawed
1 c
applesauce
1 c
chopped nuts
3/4 pkg
mini marshmallow
1 pt
sour cream

Directions Step-By-Step

Dissolve jello in hot water.

Stir in raspberries, nuts, and applesauce.

Put in 9x13 pan.

Mold in fridge

Topping:
Stir Marshmallows into sour cream in a bowl.

Cover and let stand in fridge overnight.

Next day, whip with mixer.

Spread mixture over salad.

What mixture gets whipped? I think it's the jello mold, but the wording makes it sound like the topping???
