This is my prize recipe. I am very proud of it. It was chosen for a cookbook and by a chef to be served at a luncheon. Very easy and very delicious!

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The aroma that permeated my kitchen was sooo appetizing as this was cooking! This recipe is easy as 1-2-3 and perfect to bring to your next potluck. All that's missing is some whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Next time, I may cut back on the water to around 1/2 - 2/3 a cup. It does set up after sitting for a while, but it came out of the oven a little runny.

Ingredients

1/2 c
milk
2 tsp
oil or melted shortening
1/3 c
sugar
1 c
bisquick
2 c
blackberries
2/3 c
sugar
1 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Mix first four ingredients and put in greased 2 quart casserole dish.
2
Mix berries, sugar and water. Pour over batter and bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
