I got this recipe from my sister. It is my go-to recipe when making cobbler. It is quite versatile because you can use fresh, frozen or canned fruit. Works very well with blueberries too!

Ingredients For peach cobbler

  • 4 c
    sliced peaches, fresh, frozen or canned
  • juice of a lemon
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar, divided
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1 1/4 c
    boiling water

How To Make peach cobbler

  • 1
    Place peaches in a 9 X 13 pan. Squeeze lemon juice over fruit.

    Cream together butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar.

    Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add to butter mixture. Stir in milk.

    Spread batter over fruit.

    Combine corn starch and remaining 1 cup sugar together. Sprinkle evenly over batter.

    Pour boiling water over top, making sure that all corn starch and sugar mixture is covered.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. May be baked at 450 degrees for 35 minutes if you want your cobbler faster!
