Oatless Apple Crisp
|1/2 c||butter, softened|

My husband does not care for oats on his apple crisp. This recipe eliminates the oats, but the brown sugar provides a nice "crispy" topping in it's place.
The type of apples you bake with will make a difference. I discovered a nice blend of sweet and tart baking apples work nicely with this recipe. Some good choices would be Fuji, Honeycrisp, Cortland, Empire, or Rome apples.
