We always have plenty of pears every year and this is a good way to get your family to eat the delicious pears.
Let pie crust come to room temperature. Turn oven to 350 degrees. Slice the pears and remove core and stems. I do not peel the pears, but be sure to wash well.
Place the pie crust on a pizza pan, then add a then layer of preserves, next add a layer of pears and top with rest of preserves.
Cook for 25 - 35 minutes. Then top with slices of butter and or powered sugar (optional).
