Coconut Apple Pie in Pizza Pan

This recipe was inspired by another member- I couldn't quite get my head around the ingredients or the directions so this is how I made it.Turned out very good!

Ingredients

1
recipe for single pie crust using coconut shortening, or use your regular recipe
21 oz
can apple pie filling
1/2 c
sweetened coconut, shredded
1/2 c
dark brown sugar
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/4 c
butter
1 Tbsp
ground cinnamon

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350^. Make crust according to directions and roll and place on pizza pan -crimp a small edge.

Open pie filling and while still in the can dice it up a bit, then spread evenly over pie crust.

Note:
Other canned pie filling can be used for this recipe: Raspberry is delicious and blueberry and lemon too!
2In a small bowl, combine flour, coconut ,brown sugar and cinnamon. Add cut up pieces of butter and mix in with a pastry blender to make a crumbly mixture.
3Sprinkle this coconut mixture evenly over the apples filling and bake for 25 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and glaze top with the following glaze.
4Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk -more or less
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Place all ingredients in a small bowl and combine until smooth. Adjust texture so to drizzle stage and drizzle over cooled pie.
