Ingredients For cinnamon candied apples

  • 12
    red apples
  • 1 c
    white corn syrup
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    red food coloring, or enough to make a nice red color

How To Make cinnamon candied apples

    Wash apples; remove stems. Stick 1 skewer in each apple. Combine Brown Sugar, corn syrup and coloring in saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture begins to boil. Cook over medium heat to about 250 degrees (use a candy thermometer for an accurate reading). Add Pure Cinnamon Oil; mix, remove from heat. Tilt the pan and dip each apple into syrup. Let excess syrup drip back into saucepan. Place sheet of wax paper on a cookie sheet. Place coated apples on wax paper to cool.
