~ Cassies Individual Warm Stuffed Apples ~ So Easy
Oh my were these ever good! I had one lone Granny Smith apple that I wanted to do something with as it certainly wasn't enough for a pie. So, this is what I created. I will be making these often as we always have apples in the house.
The ingredients can easily be adjusted to your individual needs. My measurements are very close to what I used. I didn't measure as I often don't.
I hope you try them sometime, they were awesome with a scoop of ice cream.

- 1 Tbsp
- each - chopped pecans, brown sugar, raisins or dried cranberries
- 1/8 tsp
- ground cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp
- maple syrup - divided
- 1 Tbsp
- 1 large
- granny smith or any tart apple
I MADE JUST ONE STUFFED APPLE, DOUBLE OR TRIPLE INGREDIENTS TO YOUR NEEDS
Core apple, making sure you widen the hole just a little for the filling to fit. Peel the apple 2/3 of the way from the top.
Drizzle with 1 tablespoon syrup. Cover and cook on high setting for 3 minutes, or until apple is tender. May take more or less time depending on the microwave. Mine took 3 minutes exactly.
While apple is cooking, heat remaining syrup and butter until butter is melted.
Pour maple butter sauce over the apple. Serve warm with ice cream.
