This recipe is so good, the second time my mom made it, I raced down the stairs to beat my brothers. To my surprise, the rug at the bottom of the stairs was just as excited as I was, and flew out from under me. I landed on my bottom, painfully, while my brothers ran in to get the first bite!

Ingredients For apple crisp

  • 10 c
    thinly sliced apples
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted

How To Make apple crisp

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Place sliced apples in a 9x13 inch pan. Mix the white sugar, tbsp flour, and ground cinnamon together and sprinkle over apples. Pour water evenly over all. Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture. Bake at 350 for approx 45 minutes.
