My hairdresser who is also a very good friend of mine had a client come into her shop one morning with this apple cobbler. Well of course it spread like wild fire. Once you make and eat it you will see why.

The can fruit is your choice. I have tried apple - cherry - peach - blueberry and my preference is apple.

Just a question Mari, what is jiffy cake mix? Is it a small box or similar to Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker? Thanks.

Yes it is MaryAnn. I can't always find Jiffy but walmart carries it. You have to look where they keep the cornbread mixes though.
here is a website you can look at that will give you an idea of what to look for. I think this mix is smaller than the Duncan Hines or BC is why its recommended.

Do you mix the cake mix or just sprinkle dry cake mix on top then add the butter?

I am familiar with the jiffy cake mix, They typically make one round cake pan so can I also use one round 8 inch or 9 inch pan for this cobbler?

Sprinkle the dry mix on the top of pie filling and then place slices of butter on top of the cake mix.
Cindy I would think the 9 inch pan would be fine to use - it may not take as long to cook either..

Nancy - Let me know what you think!! The last time I made it I thought it was too sweet. Maybe cut back on the cake mix to 3/4 of the box.
