Pat's Peach Pie Crumble
- 3/4 c
- 1/4 c
- cold butter, cut into 6 pieces
- 1/3 c
- 1/2 c
- packed brown sugar
- egg white, whipped until foamy
- 6 c
- fresh peeled and sliced peaches - i didn't have so used thawed frozen - am sure would be even better with fresh
- 1 - 9 inch
- unbaked pie crust
- of cinnamon
Using a pastry brush, brush the inside of the pie crust with the egg white. Set aside.
** When I posted this recipe...I hadn't tried it yet, was new to me and we weren't trying it until the next day. So,I wanted to give you all some feedback on it. In my opinion it was delicious...it reminded me of a peach custard pie in a way. I do think though, that the crumb mixture would be just as good mixed in with the peaches, just as well as on the bottom of the crust. I'm going to make it again and try it that way...will let you know which I like better...very tasty pie!!
