This is my very favorite pumpkin pie mixture.Adding the black pepper is an old old timer's trick and well worth it in the added taste.People can never guess what that special taste is.

Ingredients

3/4 c
sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
ginger
1/8 tsp
ground cloves
2 large
eggs
1 can(s)
carnation evaporated milk
1 can(s)
libby's 100% pure pumpkin
1 large
4 cup deep dish pie shell
1 can(s)
whipped cream (optional)

Step-By-Step

1You could just turn this into two pies in regular sized pie shells.I do. Mix sugar--cinnamon--ginger--cloves--pepper--salt in large bowl.

2Stir in pumpkin---eggs---milk.Mix well and pour into two regular pie shells and bake 350 degrees for 45--60 minutes.

3You will know its done when it is firm on top.
