Ingredients For fudge pecan pie

1/2 csugar

1/3 cunsweetened cocoa

1/3 call purpose flour

1/4 tspsalt

1 1/4 clight corn syrup

3eggs

3 Tbspbutter, melted

1 1/2 tspvanilla

1/2 cchopped pecans

9 inch unbaked pastry shell

pecan halves

mocha whipped cream (below, optional)
How To Make fudge pecan pie

1Combine sugar, cocoa, flour, salt, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla in large mixer bowl; beat 30 seconds on medium speed (do not overbeat). Stir in chopped pecans.

2Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes; immediately arrange pecan halves on top. Cool. (For fullest flavor, cover, and let stand one day before serving.) Serve with Mocha Whipped Cream.

3For Mocha Whipped Cream: Whip 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar until stiff. Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon instant coffee granules in 1 teaspoon water; carefully stir into sweetened whipped cream.

4Variation, Fudge Walnut PIe: Substitute dark corn syrup for light corn syrup, 1 tablespoon imitation maple flavor for vanilla, and chopped walnuts, and walnut halves for chopped pecans and pecan halves. Prepare and bake as directed above.
