Fresh Blackberry Pie
Decided I would use the same recipe as I used for the blueberry pie...being it was out of this world...Thanks Carol..:)
- 1 - 1 1/4 c
- sugar - i used 1 1/4
- 1/2 c
- 1/8 tsp
- 1/4 tsp
- ground nutmeg
- 4 c
- fresh blackberries, could use frozen
- 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp
- butter, softened
- 2 - 9
- inch, unbaked pie crusts
- egg, blended with a small amount of water
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; stirring well.
Add berries and toss gently. Set aside.
Cut slits to allow steam to escape.
Brush the crust with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sugar.
