Best Key Lime Pie

My Mum-in-law requested a Key Lime Pie for her birthday dessert. I have a normal recipe that is very rich. However she and I have been changing our eating habits, and I really wanted something that had flavor, but not a lot of fat. This turned out perfect. This is now my go to Key Lime recipe. I hope you enjoy as much as we did as this recipe will not disappoint. It reminds me of my favorite KLP from Lulu's in Gulf Shores.

graham crackers, crushed

sweetened condensed milk (2*14 oz)

light sour cream

key lime juice (nellie's and joe's)

Directions Step-By-Step

This recipe includes making a homemade graham cracker crust, however if you are in a pinch you can use a store bought one (we just always have graham crackers on hand). For the crust, combine crushed graham crackers, sugar and butter. Combine until well blended. Press into a 9" pie pan (the bottom and sides). Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the pie, mix the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream and key lime juice. Stir until smooth. Pour into pie pan, bake for 10 minutes (or until you see tiny bubbles). Then turn off oven and let sit in oven for about 30 minutes. refrigerate overnight. Then you can garnish with squishy cream (that is what my family calls whip cream) and lime zest.
