Ingredients

1
unbaked pie shell [9 in.]
1/2 c
pecans, in pieces
6 c
peeled apples
1 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
flour [heaping]
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg

SPICY PECAN TOPPING

1/4 c
butter, cold
1/2 c
brown sugar
1/3 c
flour
1/2 c
pecans, in pieces

Step-By-Step

1Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans in unbaked pie shell

2Combine apples,sugar,cinnamon,and nutmeg. Turn into pie shell on top of pecans.

3Mix first 3 topping ingredience using pastry blender or fork. Add pecans, spread on top of apples.

4Bake in hot oven [425 degrees] 40to45 minutes or until apples are tender and pie top is a rich brown.
