Ingredients For hot chocolate eggnog

2 oz2 blocks unsweetened baking chocolate, broken into pieces

4 cmilk

3/4 csugar

1/4 tspsalt

4egg yolks, slightly beaten

1/3 clight rum

3 Tbspsugar

1 Tbspunsweetened cocoa

4egg whites, room temperature

sweetened whipped cream
-
nutmeg
How To Make hot chocolate eggnog

1Combine baking chocolate pieces, milk, 3/4 cup sugar, the salt, and egg yolks in 4 quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk, until mixture is hot but not boiling. Add rum; beat with rotary beater until mixture is smooth. Combine 3 tablespoons sugar and the cocoa. Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually beat in sugar cocoa mixture.

2Beat until stiff peaks form; fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into heatproof punch bowl or cups; top with sweetened whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately.
