Brown Sugar Dumplings and Pecans - Delish
I added my own touch to the recipe, adding pecans...
I think Rachel would approve and be proud of how mine turned out...
I hope you give this simple recipe a try...the sticky ooey gooey syrup is delicious over ice cream...

- 1 3/4 c
- packed, brown sugar - i use dark
- 2 1/4 c
- very hot water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp
- 1 c
- packed, brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp
- butter, softened
- 2 c
- 1 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- 3/4 c
- 3/4 c
- pecans, in pieces
In a 9 x 13 baking dish...mix the brown sugar, water...add butter, and place dish in preheated oven. Prepare dumplings.
Using a tablespoon, place heaping dollops of dough into the hot syrup. You should get 12 dumpling, 3 per row.
Sprinkle with pecans, if using, sometimes I put them into the syrup first. It doesn't matter.
