1Place the butter in a stand mixer and let it beat for 2-3 minutes on medium speed.
2Add flavorings, such as extracts or cocoa,and beat again.
3Slowly add powdered sugar until the buttercream reaches the desired consistency.
4If it becomes too thick, add a little milk to thin it out.
