Scrumpious Strawberry Dessert-Connie's

While "touring" the grocery store, I had fresh strawberries and a pie crust in my cart. Trying to figure out what I was going to prepare with them, I looked down and a light bulb went off. There sat a bowl of cream cheese fruit dip. A recipe was born.

Perfect for July 4th, Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Easy to make, few ingredients and delightful to eat; the pie was gone in a day and there was only two people eating it. So much for moderation:}

Sour cream is the secret ingredient. Enjoy:)

Ingredients

2 lb
fresh, whole strawberries
13 1/2 oz
cream cheese fruit dip
lite sour cream to taste (we used about 1/2 cup)
sugar (optional)
1
9" deep dish pie crust or use your homemade

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Remove stems and slice strawberries into a large bowl.
2
Taste strawberries. If tart, add a little sugar to taste.
3
Mix fruit dip and sour cream. (Sour cream may have "water" on top. If so, drain before mixing with fruit dip.) Be careful not to over do the sour cream or you'll lose the fruit dip flavor.
4
Fold fruit and sour cream mixture together.
5
Bake 9" pie crust per package instructions.
6
Cool pie.
7
Add fruit and cream cheese mixture to cooled pie crust and refrigerate.
8
Must be eaten before the third day of making.
9
Enjoy this dreamy cool dessert!
