How To Make easy apple crumble

  • 1
Preheat oven to 425 degree F. I used my iron skillet for this dessert. You can use a 9 inch pie plate or another oven safe skillet. Pour pie filling into pan and chop up apples some, to evenly distribute. I then added a handful of raisins. Sprinkle with 1/2 the cinnamon...If you want more filling than topping, add an extra can of pie filling.

In a medium bowl add the flour, pecans, sugars, the other half of the cinnamon, and oats. Toss well.
  • 3
Pour in the melted butter and toss together until you have all dry ingredients moistened. I use my fingers.
  • 4
Spread crumb mixture evenly onto a baking sheet and bake for roughly 5 minutes or until begins to brown.
  • 5
Once cool, sprinkle evenly over pie filling. Place back into oven and bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden. My oven went on the blinks half way through baking and burnt my top some...luckily I caught it in time.

Serve warm with a big scoop of ice cream...yummy!
