An easy and tasty dessert using those nice autumn apples.

Ingredients For easy apple cake

  • 5-7 md
    apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix (9 oz)
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick
    butter

How To Make easy apple cake

    Preheat oven to 350°F
  • 2
    Layer apple slices evenly in a 9 x 12 pan until about half full. If necessary, peel, core and slice more apples.

    Sprinkle the apples evenly with the full box of dry cake mix.

    Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cake mix layer.

    Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

    If desired, add chopped walnuts and/or raisins to the brown sugar and cinnamon layer.
