Ingredients

1 c
granulated sugar
1/2 c
fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp
butter
2 Tbsp
white rum
6 medium
under-ripe bananas

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 400°F.
2In a saucepan, mix the sugar, lemon juice, butter and rum together and simmer for 10 minutes.
3Peel the bananas and slice them in half, lengthwise. Place bananas cut side down, in a buttered baking dish and pour the hot syrup over them.
4Bake for 30 minutes at 400°F, turning once. Let cool, and serve slightly warm.
