These are simply divine! The kitchen smells wonderful while these are cooking. They are very easy to make and gets lots of oohs and ahhhs. You may use any type of apple in this recipe. We love them warm with vanilla ice cream.

    apples
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    quick cook oats
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How To Make apple cup crisp

    Preheat oven to 400*. Prepare crumble: in bowl whisk together flour, oats, 1/3 cup brown sugar, sugar, salt and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in half stick cold butter which has been cubed using a pastry cutter or two forks until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.

    Peel and chop 4 apples. In frying pan melt remaining half stick butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Add chopped apples and sauté apples 8 to 10 mins or until tender. Remove from heat.

    Slice the top off the remaining four apples and scoop out the flesh. Discard flesh and fill apple cups with the cooked apples. Top with generous amount of crumble on each filled apple. Place on foil lined baking sheet. Bake 10-15 mins or until crumble topping is browned and crisp. Serve with vanilla ice cream and/or caramel sauce if desired.
