Beat butter, shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Gradual add flour mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in candidates pieces, vanilla chips and peanuts.
Drop by 1/8 cupfuls onto UNGREASED cookis sheets. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until almost set. Cool 2 minutes on sheet before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
