Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1 1/2 csugar

1/2 cbutter or margarine, softened

1/2 cshortening

2eggs

2 3/4 call-purpose flour

2 tspcream of tartar

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

3 Tbspsugar

1 Tbspground cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

1Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix 1-1/2 cups sugar, the butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

2Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

3Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely on wire rack.
