skinny molasses cookies (nor's)

I love to bake,and I don't like all of the fat in baked goods. These yummy cake like Molasses cake like cookies are low fat,and very flavorful. They have only about 1-1/2 grams of fat,13 carbs,and 70 calories per cookie. Grab a glass of skim milk,and eat 2,or 3 cookies,and not feel bad about it.

Ingredients For skinny molasses cookies (nor's)

  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • 1/2 c
    molasses
  • 1+ 2
    1 egg plus 2 egg whites
  • 2 1/2 c
    whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 3/4 c
    raisins if desired
  • 1/2 c
    non fat buttermilk,or regular low fat milk

How To Make skinny molasses cookies (nor's)

    heat oven to 350 degree's. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper,or spray with Pam or other spray.

    beat on low the honey,Molasses,egg,and egg whites together. Add melted butter, milk, and beat for 30 seconds.

    In another bowl mix the flour,cinnamon,clove,ginger,and baking soda together. Add to the molasses mixture. Stir to combine,and add Raisins if desired.

    Drop by teaspoon fulls on to sheet pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Cool to platter or rack.
