I decided to make this recipe I found on an old recipe card from my card catalogue..They turned out delicious. Some I frosted with Irish Cream frosting and others I left plain...my family and I love them ,why not give them a try..the mixing goes fast and they will be done in an hour...start to finish..
1Heat oven to 350^.
Cream margarine and sugars together, until light and fluffy;using electric mixer, large bowl. Then add eggs and vanilla and combine well. Next combine and add flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon and combine.Mix well.
2Combine oatmeal, nuts and dates, mix to separate, then add by hand to the batter. Use a soup spoon or Tablespoon to drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheets. These will spread a little. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let set on cookie sheet for 30 seconds. Transfer to paper to cool. Frost if desired.
3Irish Cream Drizzle:
2 cup powdered sugar
dash of salt
1 teaspoon corn syrup
Irish cream coffee mate liquid
Combine ingredients and stir well. Adding enough Irish Cream coffee mate to make a thick drizzle.
Spoon mixture into plastic sandwich bag and swirl over cookies as desired..Enjoy.
