butter or margarine, softened
Cream first 4 ingredients. Add eggs and beat well.
Mix in remainder of ingredients, except raisins. Stir well.
Add raisins. (Note - Let raisins soak in boiling water for a few minutes to soften. Drain before adding to batter.)
Drop by teaspoon (or tablespoon for a larger cookie) on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 7 to 12 minutes or until brown around the edges and no longer glossy on top. Cooking time depends on the size of the cookies.
