I was looking for a recipe for a quick dessert that would satisfy my need for a chocolate chip cookie "something" without making a full batch of 4 dozen cookies. I developed this by combining several other good recipes. I finally got to the flavor of my mom's chocolate chip cookies that I could prepare in 5 minutes! Delicious!

Ingredients For microwave chocolate chip cookie ala mode

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    salted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond extract

How To Make microwave chocolate chip cookie ala mode

    Melt butter in a coffee mug.

    Add sugars, salt, vanilla and almond extracts and egg yolk to melted butter. Mix until completely combined.

    Add flour to sugar mixture and completely combine. Fold in chocolate chips.

    Microwave 40 seconds. Add small scoop ice cream and serve.
