Ingredients For lemon coconut bars
- CRUST:

1 1/2 cflour

1/2 cbutter or margarine, melted

1/2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
- FILLING:

2eggs, beaten
-
1 cbrown sugar, packed
-
1 1/2 ccoconut
-
1 cchopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

2 Tbspflour
-
1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspvanilla
- FROSTING:

1 cconfectioners sugar
-
juice of 1 lemon
-
1 tspmelted butter or margarine
How To Make lemon coconut bars

1Mix together dough ingredients for crust. Press with fingers in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 275 degrees.

2Meanwhile, combine filling ingredients; spread on top of baked crust. Increase oven temperature to 350. Now bake 20 minutes.

3While still warm, spread with frosting by combining confectioners sugar, melted butter and lemon juice. Cool to lukewarm. Cut into bars or squares.
