Ingredients

2
eggs
2-1/4 c
unsifted flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
3/4 c
sugar
2 stick
unsalted butter
3/4 c
brown sugar
2 tsp
vanilla extract
3/4 pkg
ghirardelli bittersweet cacao chips

OPTIONAL: CHOPPED WALNUTS, OR PECANS

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven 375 degrees. Bakes best using a cookie sheet.
2Stir flour, baking soda, and salt then set aside.
3In another bowl cream with fork the softened butter, sugars, vanilla.
4Add eggs then mix at low speed.
5Blend together slowly the dry ingredients then mix in the chocolate chips. Also the nuts if preferred.
6drop by teaspoon full 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking pan.
7bake at 350-375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. According to how hot your oven gets due to the variation which is due to climate. let cool 5-10 minutes then carefully lift from pan for additional cooling. Timing is crucial must be just right for a soft chewy cookie. So keep your eye on the time.
