Mrs Claus's Chocolate Fix....

This is an old family's recipe - an ultimate chocolate rush; it's sweet, thick, gooey brownies - topped with chocolate chips, toasted pecans, english toffee and coconut.... over the years it has taken on many different versions - for it's up to one's own imagination and taste buds... my Mother always made her batch during the Christmas season - so thus the name...

1 3/4 c
all purpose flour
3/4 c
confectioners' sugar
1/3 c
baking cocoa
3/4 c
cold butter
1 can(s)
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
1 c
coarsely chopped toasted pecans
1/2 c
1/3 c
english toffee or smashed up health bars


1In a food processor combine the flour, sugar and cocoa. Add the butter and process just until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
2Press firmly into a greased 13-by-9-inch baking pan.
3Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
4While crust is baking, combine condensed milk, vanilla and 1 cup of chocolate chips in a medium sauce pan.
5Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth. Remove crust from oven and pour chocolate mixture over crust.
6Sprinkle with coconut, nuts and toffee bits and remaining chocolate chips.
7Press down firmly.
8Return to oven and bake for another 18-20 minutes.
