I have had this recipe for many years. I make it at Christmas. Whenever I take it some place or give it to some one it disappears FAST. Make sure you have some copies of this recipe around when your friends sample it for the first time.

Ingredients

3 stick
salted butter
2 c
sugar
2 c
roasted pecan pieces

plain chocolate bars

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter and sugar together then stir in 1 cup of pecans. Cook to hard crack 300-310. Stir often-not fun to clean up burnt sugar.

Pour onto butter cookie sheet and spread. Put the remaining pecans on top.

Place chocolate bars on top-when they are melted spread.

Refrigerate until solid then break into pieces.
