Ingredients For peanut butter fudge candy

  • 1 lb
    light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 jar
    (8 oz.) smooth peanut butter
  • 1 c
    finely chopped nuts (optional)

How To Make peanut butter fudge candy

  • 1
    Dissolve brown sugar, butter and white sugar with milk. Cook until it forms soft ball stage (234-240 degrees on candy thermometer); test in small bowl of cold water. Add cornstarch dissolved in little cold water.

    Remove from stove and beat well. Add vanilla, peanut butter and nuts.

    Immediately transfer to buttered pan. Let cool to lukewarm; cut into squares.
