I feel sure that similar crockpot candy recipes have been posted. I added the cashews and dried fruit to the original recipe and we fell in love. Easiest candy ever and allows you to be otherwise occupied while mixture is softening in crockpot. It is a winning no-brainer if you want to "make" a delicious candy to impress family and friends!

-
1 bag(12 ounce) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
-
1 bag(12 ounce) milk chocolate chips
-

-

-
2 cmixed dried fruit (whole raisins, cranberries or chopped cherries)
How To Make nutty fruity chocolate chunkies (crockpot candy)
-
1Layer all ingredients (EXCEPT dried fruit) in large (@ least 4-5 quart) crockpot in exact order as given. I use a liner inside to make clean up easier. IMPORTANT NOTE: I use a crockpot ONLY. A slow cooker may get too hot and burn your candy.
-
2Break almond bark or vanilla candy coating in pieces before placing last in crock pot.
-
3Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours. Do NOT lift lid until 2 hours have elapsed. After 2 hours, turn off pot, remove lid and stir well. Your chocolate yummy goodness will not be melted but will be very soft.
-
4Now add your dried fruit and stir well again until all ingredients are covered in your chocolate yummy goodness.
-
5Drop by teaspoon onto wax or parchment paper. I like to go back and add about another teaspoon full on top of candies. Thus making them very "chunky". Allow to harden about 1 hour.
-
6Cook's Note: This recipe makes more candy than you have ever seen @ one time so unless I have plans to share w/ a lot of people, I make half of the recipe. These make a wonderful gift or bake sale item as they are a very pretty and scrumptious candy.
- Last Step: Don't forget to share! Make all your friends drool by posting a picture of your finished recipe on your favorite social network. And don't forget to tag Just A Pinch and include #justapinchrecipes so we can see it too!
