I got from Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking. I change the sugar and salt so diabetic can have the cake.

Ingredients

3
eggs
1 c
sugar or splenda sugar
1 c
flour
1/2 tsp
salt or light salt
1 tsp
baking powder
3 Tbsp
warm water
1 tsp
lemon juice

Step-By-Step

1Beat the eggs until thick and creamy. Add sifted sugar and beat well.
Add warm water and lemon juice and beat again.

2Sift the flour, add salt or light salt and baking powder and sift again.
Combine dry ingredients with the mixture, a little at a time folding in gently.

3When well blended pour in a ungreased pan with center tube.
Bake in moderate 350F for 50 minutes.
